JANET KENNEDY
After studying art in high school I pursued other opportunities for some time, but now I am back, re-visiting a long history of family involvement in artistic adventures. My mother was an early member and teacher at the Art Guild of Scarborough, my sister is a versatile painter who has has sold her work internationally, and my daughter’s distinct style reflects her years in Victoria, B.C.
After training and teaching pottery in a previous life, I took more diverse art courses at UWO-and got side-tracked again!
Since then, travel and photography have heightened my awareness of the diversity of both man-made and natural colour and design. I have begun enhancing my photographs and creating mixed media pieces. I joined APSA in September 2014 to gain inspiration from this group of talented artists and further my awareness of the artistic spirit and culture in Port Stanley.
