CHERYL GARRETT-JENKINS
I am a marine engineer by trade and I became interested in glass art 30 years ago through welding metal frames for other glass artists.
Glass is my passion. It’s never boring. A piece of glass always holds secrets that allow it to transform into an amazing light pictures or objects.
My art pieces are made from unique patterns created from the many things I see in life and my imagination. I specialize in creating one-of-a-kind glass artworks. I do not recreate the same piece twice.
My skills include fusing, caming, foiling, glass painting, sandblasting and acid etching, all used in infinite combinations to produce unique art pieces. Some of my more popular works include pet portraits, personalized pieces, dishware, 3-D items, sci-fi & fantasy pieces, Celtic designs, specialty boxes and favourite photos reproduced in glass. Glass art pieces are ideal gifts for family and friends. I also offer a one of a kind metal sign design and fabrication.
I very much enjoy the creativity of working with a client to produce their vision in glass and I will give any type of creative project a try.
My Gallery carries other local Ontario artists who make a variety of blown glass, lampwork beads, crystal jewelry, paintings and metal art signs.
