After retiring in 2010 Richard renewed his artistic interests. He found it a challenge as he worked at recapturing some of the artistic skills that were learned at the Ontario College of Art, way back in the early 1960’s!
He states that progress was slow in the beginning but each step forward was rewarding and filled with new discoveries. Some of his works have been labeled quirky and he states that he has been encouraged by both customers and supporters to retain and refine this style.
His focus so far has been mainly Port Stanley and Central Elgin subjects, both rich in subject matter. His works are done in either watercolours or acrylics and come matted and framed.
He currently has a home studio\ gallery of finished works located at 301Carlow Road unit #9. He welcomes private showings which are available by appointment. He can be reached at 519-782-3880
